Garden Today - 27th Oct 02

What an awful day!
As I write, the storms rage and more trees crash down around the garden. 
As you can see below, we have two oaks down. Losing one oak is particularly depressing as they are so old...but two is just too much. One of them snapped half way up the trunk leaving some lower branches. so it might continue to grow.
Looking at it philosophically, it is nature's way of pruning. But I do wish it would take out the trees I didn't like rather than those I do.
