About the coldest, wettest June I can remember.
It has compensations though. Last year's heat wave at this time of year made the
flowers go over very quickly. I reckon we are 2-3 weeks behind this year so
there is STILL a lot to look forward to.

The lavender is in its prime. Alive with buzzing bees. |
Waterlillies on the pond are much better this year. They are the 'deep water' variety which will eventually cover the whole surface. Many years to go for that though! |
The seat on the belvedere |
Another seat on the path |
Yet another seat on the path! On a slope like ours, you need every resting place you can get. |
A mass of bright colours |
Bog garden. The astilbes are at their zenith at the moment. |
OTT patio pots! |
I particularly like this view. It seems to sum up everything I am attempting to create. Just huge swathes of colour all tumbling over the path and banks. Not a patch of bare earth in sight...just flowers, flowers, flowers. Bliss! |
