May - early Aug has been the hottest and driest on record. On top of that there has been a hosepipe ban so I cannot water the garden with anything other than a watering can.
I guess that is why I really haven't felt like putting up many pictures - indeed I've gone off the garden a bit this year. drought and deer damage has dulled my enthusiasm! 
Many plants have died. Indeed, as you can see, flowers like the crocosmia (below) have died before producing any flowers at al.
But at least I have been able to water the pot plants on the patio.
