6th May 07 - Sheffield Pike
Started overcast but dry. But poured for last bit
of our walk and we all got drenched!
Started at Glenridding and climbed to the Greenside Lead Mine. Then up the
zigzags to Lucy's Tongue (about 1900ft) before skirting Sheffield Pike for the
descent with those glorious views of Ullswater.

You can see the path to Helvelyn with Striding Edge left of centre. One day I will do it again! |

Suddenly Ullswater comes into view |
Glorious. Even better in the sunshine! |
