We really wanted to see the gardens at Levens and Sizergh but forget they were both closed on Friday (and Saturday). Still, we had a 5.5 miler along the Lancaster Canal and through Levens Park. Then had lunch at Fell Foot Park and a visit to Stagshaw gardens

That lovely avenue in Levens Park. We watched a beautiful (and big) hare race through the fields.
