25th June 05 - Coniston Moor
Started at Coniston and climbed (and climbed..) through the high bracken up into the Yewdale Fells and onto Coniston Moor. Great views. BUT we then got lost and couldn't find the steep path down off Furness Fell - mainly because it was obscured by the bracken. As it's a vertical drop, we retraced our steps.
About 6-7 miles. Good walk regardless. Will do again in opposite direction next time so we can e sure of finding the path!
