24th June 05 - Muncaster
Started at Ravenglass with a 30 min trip on
"Little Ratty" up to the Green. Then a 7-miler along Muncaster Fell to
the Castle and down to the River Esk on the Cumbrian Coastal Path.
Great day!
We alighted at The Green. A 'request stop' so we had to "inform the guard" who looked the part. Fat with bushy side whiskers! |
Muncaster Castle |
The foxgloves and, indeed, everything in the hedgerows look great. Here with a glimpse of the Irish Sea. |
On the Cumbrian Coastal Path by the River Esk. One of my favourite pathes - just so quiet. You get the feeling you are the only one to use it! |
