20th Jan 07 - Loughrigg

We drove up to the Lakes on Thurs 18th. It was a BIG MISTAKE! First two hours was fine then the gales hit. Won't go into the gory details, but it took us 14 hours. Five of those were stuck with no way forward or back. M6 closed both ways in three places! It was a real nightmare.
For this reason, we decided to have a quiet day on Friday to recover. So today (Saturday) was our first walk.
We decided to do Loughrigg Fell as visibility was reasonably good. Weather sunny spells but a strong wind.
