6th August - L'Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland, Canada
After crossing the Labrador Sea from
Greenland, we anchored in the bay of L'Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland, Canada.
We went on a typical tourist trip...it was NOT very good!

At St Anthony's |
One of the many Viking sod huts we visited. To be fair, this one was at the UNESCO World Heritage Site where Lief Erikson, son of Eric the Red, had established his camp after sailing from Greenland in 1000AD. Its discovery in 1960 came a shock to those whose believed that Columbus had been the first European to discover North America. |
