10th Aug - New York

So our trip came to an end. After a night time sail through the Cape Cod Canal, we entered New York in the early Wednesday morning.

Sailing under the Verrazano Bridge which links Brooklyn to Staten Island

Then the famous skyline of downtown Manhattan came into view

Past the Statue of Liberty

Everyone on deck to admire the view

Finally to our berth alongside USS Intrepid and Concorde

We then spent Wednesday night at the Waldorf Astoria (above) on Park Avenue, New York. We had dinner with Maureen and Lois at Esca and visited both the Frick and MoMA. NY was very hot!
