Arrived by air at Reykjavik on Thursday afternoon.
On Thursday night, had the most superb lobster meal at the Lobster House. Best ever! |
On Friday we went on the Golden Circle tour. This is the amazing waterfall at Gullfoss |

The place is Geysir. This geysir is called Stokkur and it blows every five minutes or so. |

Techtonic plates. Amazing to think that Iceland is just like a teatray resting on the Eurasian plate and American plate with a 5km gap in between which explains the geothermal waters.. |
On Saturday, we "did" Reykjavik before boarding the ship. This is the view from The Pearl - an enormous water tank which stores all the geothermally-heated water for delivery to the central heating systems in the houses below. |
