13th/14th Oct 17 - Fort Lauderdale and Key West
Arrived in Miami on 12th Oct after 9 hour flight. Over night at the Marriott Harbour Beach in Fort Lauderdale before joining Silver Muse. Overnight sail to Key West.
We thought Key West might have been badly damaged in hurricane Irma - but very little evidence of that. Indeed the locals asked us to tell people that they were 'Fully Open for Business'. As we had been to Key West before, we didn't take any of the organised excursions but just walked around. Much better! Visited Ernest Hemingway's house with the six toed cats. Hot and muggy.
