5th-6th Apr 17 - Journey to Scenic Spirit and Kampong Cham

Joined Scenic Spirit on 5th and went on our first excursion the following day.

The Khmer Bridge on the road from Siem Reap to join Scenic Spirit

Visit to the market at Kampong Cham. Every where we went we were met with this spaghetti wiring. Seemed to work though...

Kampong Cham market was full of smells. Mind you the veg looked pretty good!

Not so sure about the buffalo hooves

And the crabs looked a bit small to me. Obviously fresh as they were alive

Clearly this young store holder had had enough today. Anyone for a freshly slaughtered buffalo steak?

Outside the market were myriad fast food stalls. These skewered fish looked good! The smile and greeting from this young girl was typical of the friendly welcome we got everywhere. They are truly lovely people!

This is the Bamboo Bridge. Said to be very dangerous. $3 for cars - $1 for motorbikes

Made of 50,000 bamboo poles. It all gets swept away in the monsoon.
