Garden 18th Jan 18
Seems like a very long time
since I updated the Garden Today website. But there are now the very first signs
that Spring is on the way.

| Snowdrops are always the first |

| The camellia is really out too early as the any frost will turn it brown. Indeed you can see some frost damage already. |

| Two different hellebores - or Christmas Roses as they are sometimes called |

| All the bulbs are bursting through. Here the first hyacinth is just out. |

| The mahonia is also out |

| and the pierus will not be far behind. Beautiful bunches of white flowers before the leaves turn red. A long display of colour from one bush |

| Two different witch hazels. I am not a great fan as they last so fleetingly. But they are a welcome splash of colour in January. |
