14th May 14 -Garden Today
Moist and increasingly warm. No better growing conditions.
Panoramic views of the main lawn with the alliums now coming out (replacing the tulips and daffodils)
Herbaceous bed in the front
View through the trees in the front garden
Just love the Lily of the Valley and their carpet of rhododendron petals
The newly planted rhododendrons and azaleas by the front gate
The relatively new bed by the greenhouse
The slope, walled paths and belvederes are looking.. Well, fantastic even if I say it myself!
Plant(s) of the Day? Can't decide between the self-sown aquilegias and the fern as it unwinds and looks like a Bishop's crook.
First petunias out on the wall...
...with more on the way in the greenhouse
New vegetable beds framed by the 'Burning Bush' azalea
Or perhaps this wonderful pink rhodo is the 'Plant of the Day'? Too many choices!
Finally a walk through the woods. The bluebells are still out. So pleased with how it all turned out.
