22nd-23rd July 13 - Walks with John

John (Slater) joined me at The Beach house for two days of walks.

Monday - We went to Swanage and then on the stream train to Corfe. Then along the Purbeck Way to Worth Matravers and back along Dancing Ledge and Durlston to Swanage and some oysters at GeeWhites. About 11 miles and, if I was to be honest, a little too long for me!

Tuesday - To the NT Knoll Car Park, up across Godlingston Heath to Agglestone and up to the obelisk at the start of Ballard Down. Along the ridge to Old Harry Rock and back via South Beach to the car.

Worth Matravers - Tea shoppe was closed on Mondays and the pub was awful!
Coast path between Seacombe Cliff and along Dancing Ledge.
Then back to Swanage for oysters at GeeWhites before dinner at Cafe Shore.
Then on Tuesday - Started at the NT Knoll Car Park, up across Godlingston Heath to Agglestone and up to the obelisk at the start of Ballard Down. Along the ridge to Old Harry and back via South Beach to the car. About 8 miles and rather nearer to my distance.
