2nd Nov 11 - Rhodes, Greece
Another lovely sunny day.
We have been to Rhodes before so we decided to do something different and walk around the City within its moat. It was both quiet and really wonderful. Then we walked back through the narrow streets - largely off the tourist trail. Great day!
Because Silver Wind is so small (just a couple of hundred guests) we moored right beside the City walls. |
This was the view from our balcony |
Walking around the City along the moat. So quiet. So beautiful. |
Just like a walled City should look! |
Came across this school trip having their lunch and playing football. |
Elizabeth hiding... |
As you can see, for most of the walk we were alone |
The quiet side alleys, full of restaurants and terraced houses, were wonderful. Again, very quiet. But the main streets were full of tourists - there were SIX other ships in today. I can never understand why people don't use their legs and go walkabout! |
Shops galore. |
