1st Nov 11 - Kudadasi, Turkey
Fabulous weather - relatively cool but bright sunshine. We went to see the Terraced Houses at Ephesus.
Silver Wind all alone in Kusadasi. It is the end of the season so no crowds. |
We had a fantastic guide. An archeologist who had worked on the site for over 40 years. He really knew his stuff. Indeed many of the exhibits in the museum he had excavated himself. This is a statue of Artemis Ephesus - the Goddess of Fertility |
The road down to the Library. You can see the covering to the Terraced Houses on the left. |
Inside the covered area protecting the many terraced houses with their ornate floors and painted walls. |

The theatre seats 25000. St Paul preached here. |
