6th Aug 11 - Honningsvag/North Cape - Norway
Unfortunately we have left the sun behind. From Honningsvag we went to the North Cape - the most northerly in Europe.
Let's start and end with a troll |
Lots of reindeer along the way. They are brought from the mainland each summer to graze. The Sami wear those hats that all men on stag nights wear... |
At North Cape we all got a glass of asti and some caviar. The view was...misty! |
Would have been even better in the sun. |
Until the road was built the cruise ships would moor and tender guests ashore for quite a climb up the cliffs. I rather liked this display of the ladies in their finery. |
Just to prove the coordinates were N71 11N |
And finally a troll... |
