2nd Aug 11 - Geiranger and Hellesylt - Norway

Short hop from Alesund. Misty morning in the fjords. First we did a great hike up from Geiranger to the Storaterfossen waterfall. Then a short sail to Hellesylt. Mist lifted mid morning to glorious sunny day.

We climbed about a 1000ft over very muddy ground
The view from the top was magnificent with an inversion.
At the top
We climbed down a steep path behind the massive Storaterfossen waterfall. Wonderful!
Goats!
View over Geiranger as we descended. Many wildflowers everywhere. You can see the Silver Cloud moored in the fjord.
Geiranger from the tender
From the tender on the way from Geiranger to the Cloud
Seven Sisters waterfall
Opposite the Seven Sisters is a waterfall called 'the Proposer'. Legend has it that this waterfall proposed to each of the Seven Sisters opposite in turn but was rejected by each of them. He was so upset that he turned to drink and you can see the Bottle clearly in the waterfall!!
'I spy fjords'.
On the deck as we sailed in the fjord.
The magnificent waterfall in Hellesylt
Kids were swimming in the fjord from this bathing platform in Hellesylt. Again see Silver Cloud in the background.
