17th-18th Dec 10 - Iguazu Falls

Flew from Buenos Aires to Iguazu (about 800 miles) for a visit to the famous falls and overnight stay.

The view from our balcony at the Sheraton. The top one over the pool and the lower one with a 12x zoom and our first sight of the falls which you could hear thundering in the distance
There are three trails on the Argentine side. The Devil's Throat, Superior and Inferior.
You take a little train to the start of the 2km Devil's Throat walk.
Lots of wildlife as you might expect in a rain forest. The butterflies were attracted to the salt from the evaporating puddles.
Over many bridges and catwalks you get to the very edge of the biggest waterfall - The Devil's Throat
Thundering and the possibility of getting very wet
The Superior walk was the best - taking in more waterfalls than you could count. The sun came out and gave us a wonderful rainbow! WOW!
A lizard clinging to the side of one of the waterfalls
Just some of the most amazing sights I have ever seen
The following day we did the Lower or ' Inferior' route. This involved climbing down closer to the river level.
 Crossing lots of bridges
 More wonderful vistas
The 'Two Sisters'
This time we really did get very wet!

But with views like this, it was really worth it
