Another short sail to Sevastopol and a visit to the Crimea battlegrounds at Balaclava.

Our guide explaining the battle formations. I thought that the Charge of the Light Brigade (Cannons to the left of them. Cannons to the right....) was down a narrow gorge. It all looked pretty flat to me. Bungled intelligence led to the massacre.

Chapel. Actually most of the monuments related to the Second World War when the Russians 'liberated' Ukraine from the Germans. Fighting over the same piece of ground.
