The sun came out! Indeed it was, without doubt, the best day of the year (so far) But hardly any flowers out - unlike last year at this time.

The very first daffodils

I planted some 'instant colour' but no daffs - indeed they are only just poking through the soil.

This was the same bed exactly a year ago with all the daffodils in full flower.
