13th Feb 10 - Loughrigg Fell
Not the best of journeys up (cat went AWOL and M6 was a nightmare). But today it was cold and sunny. Perfect walking weather.
We did Loughrigg Fell/Grasmere and Rydal Water. But we started from Pelter Bridge on a 'new' route up the fell - which was excellent. Strange how, after so many years, one can approach an old walk in a new way!

Glorious view of the valley over Grasmere (great zoom - see unzoomed picture above) |

The heron came to share our lunch. As you can see I am quite pleased with the 12x optical zoom on my new Panasonic camera! |
