We decided to have a day off walking and visited Blackwell and Holehird gardens instead

| Blackwell
      is a 'Arts and Crafts' house built around 100 years ago as the 'holiday
      home' for a rich brewer, Edward Holt, from Manchester. It has the most wonderful views over Windermere. A new art installation has been erected in the garden.  |
