20th Mar 09 - Langdales

Unfortunately very overcast and quite cold in the morning but sun broke through at midday. Started at Elterwater for the 'classic' 6.5 miler taking in Slaters Bridge, Colwith Falls, Skelwith and the lovely walk back along Elterwater.

Then we visited Troutbeck Church and Holehird Gardens

They have built a new path and footbridge (you can just make it out if you look carefully...) at Skelwith so you don't have to walk on the busy road anymore. Miss out the tea room now though!
