2nd - 3rd Oct 08 - Osaka
Arrived at the Swissotel, Osaka at about
11.00pm on 1st Oct. Knackered!
After a fitful night's sleep we then exhausted ourselves with a 6 hour walking
tour of Osaka.
Osaka is a modern city which is not particularly 'touristy'. In particular, most
signs are in Japanese only.
Boarded the Mariner on 3rd Oct.
First stop was the Umeda Sky Building |
At the top the towers are linked by glass escalators |
You get quite a view of the city and the Yodo River from the top |
A trip on the tube. A bit daunting as it's all in Japanese so you don't know what the stations are called. |
Osaka Castle and its moat |
Osaka Castle |
View from the top with its gold-leafed fishtails |
A trip on the Aqualiner |
3rd Oct - View from our cabin over Osaka Harbour |
Ferris Wheel on the
harbourside. |
