14th July 08 - Hadrian's Wall
It was very misty and overcast today. We drove (c1hr 30 mins) to Housesteads in Northumberland to see Hadrian's Wall ahead of our visit to his Exhibition at the British Museum next week.

| These would be classic views of Hadrian's Wall (the Guidebook describes these views as 'spectacular'). But the mist got the better of it today. We walked along the top of the wall to the first MileCastle. It would be a lovely walk on a better day. |
