13th July 08 - Helvellyn

As the forecast was for "bright and sunny" weather, we decided to do Helvellyn on the first day. This time up from the Thirlmere side. As it turned out, it was more "dull and cloudy" - but at least it didn't rain!
It is about 5 miles and a 3300ft climb! Probably worse coming down than going up. I got a serious case of my infamous 'jelly legs'...
