20th Mar 08 - Fell Foot

Fell Foot Park was cold, wet and windy. I was the only person there! It was bleak and, bluntly, 'not very pleasant'.

Bought a satmap. Early indications are that it is GREAT! You can see above the map of exactly where I was in Fell Foot Park. Obviously it tells you where you are. But also the map 'orients' itself to the direction you are facing. The detail is amazing - you can zoom in and out on the 1:25000 OS maps. You can see the jetty on the map and in the picture - which isn't even on max. magnification.
