6th March 2005

Bitterly cold and snowy week. Many of the plants that had survived the frost so far have been hit by the -5C temperatures this week.

This is what I saw when I woke up on Friday. I had to go to London and had to get to the Station. My car got stuck on the hill outside our house and I had to abandon it and walk. Still, no harm done to me or the car!
Our American friend, Maureen, came to visit to pick up Elizabeth for their skiing trip

On the belvedere with the River Wey in the background
Heathers and daffodils out now
Peaches and Nectarines out in flower in the greenhouse (Still can't remember which is which!)
