It has been one of the driest winters on record. It now looks as if we are going tp pay for this with a hosepipe ban from as early as next month!
It has also been quite cold so the garden is a long way behind last year - no bad thing.

First daffodil of the year
The hellebores are looking really good
Pansies by the kitchen
Polyanthus
The River Wey like a silver band in the water meadows. A view we only get in the winter when the leaves are off the trees,
We have had deer proof fencing put up around the garden. That's a lot of fencing around 4 acres. But we now have to wait for planning permission for the gates. The deer have become a real pest. They each EVERYTHING. Well, everything that the rabbits can't reach.
But they are not the only "enemies". "Mr Mole" (or it a whole mole family?) is making a real mess of the lawns right now.
