15th Oct 06

It has been the mildest October for years. Everything is growing as if it was spring. Even have primroses out! The grass is greener and lusher than at any time this year. Of course, the frost must come soon and put an end to it.
So these might be the last flower pictures of the year.

Begonias still in their prime in the front beds. Will die with the first frost.
Michaelmas daisies
Dahlias still out on the belvedere. They will die with the first frost too. The purple Polygonum ( the purple spiky flower draped over the wall) looked dead a month back. Amazing what the rain can do.
