29th June 04 - Claife Heights

A 6-7 miler leaving the car at the NT car park at Near Sawrey. Then a walk along Claife Heights with its views over our place in Bowness on the opposite shore of Windermere. Then back through the forests passing Wise Eec Tarn and Moss Eccles Tarn.
It started to pour with rain the moment we reached the car.

A Date to Remember. The first outing for my NEW BOOTS! Always difficult to say goodbye to well loved friends. But when they let in water, you have to be cruel to be kind. Karrimor ksb's...very comfortable too!
A truly fabulous little front garden to Buckle Yeat cottage in Near Sawrey. You may remember it from Beatrix Potter's Tale of Tom Kitten, Pigling Bland and Patty Pan
