24th June 05 - Muncaster

Started at Ravenglass with a 30 min trip on "Little Ratty" up to the Green. Then a 7-miler along Muncaster Fell to the Castle and down to the River Esk on the Cumbrian Coastal Path.
Great day!

We alighted at The Green. A 'request stop' so we had to "inform the guard" who looked the part. Fat with bushy side whiskers!
Muncaster Castle
The foxgloves and, indeed, everything in the hedgerows look great. Here with a glimpse of the Irish Sea.
On the Cumbrian Coastal Path by the River Esk. One of my favourite pathes - just so quiet. You get the feeling you are the only one to use it!
