20th March 03 - Orrest Head, School Knott and Brant Fell

The forecast was for brilliant sun but it started off cold and misty. We had planned a walk from Orrest Head to Ambleside but the view was so bad at the top that we improvised cutting inland to Heaning , across Schoolknott and then along the Dales Way to Brant Fell and home.
About 7 miles and delightful. Loads of lambs (and chickens!). Hedgerows full of daffodils.

A host of golden daffofils......and a rather ornate farm gate
Hedgerows full of flowering currants and daffodils
Ahhh...I hear you say!
