18th Mar 04 - Bigland Tarn and Rusland Pool

It started overcast...then got worse. By the end of the walk it was raining hard and we got soaked.
We started at Backbarrow. Climbed over Bigland Barrow to Bigland Hall & Tarn. Then a walk along the banks of the River Leven, across the disused railway bridge to Rusland Pool and a lovely walk through the woods at Haverthwaite Heights. Well, it would have been lovely if the sun had been out.
About 7.5 miles.
