16/17th July 03 - Holker Hall and Longmere
Road
Holker Hall opened its gardens for the National Gardens Scheme on the
evening of 16th July. Superb! And we got to see the deer at close quarters.
On Thursday the rains finally arrived. we took a short 4-miler along Dobbs Road,
Longmere Road and back on Moorhowe Road. The views over Troutbeck and the length
of Windermere were excellent ...even in the rain!
