Went to see the mosaics. 

Started in the Basilica di St Vitale. These wonderful mosaics date from c525 AD - so around 1500 years old

More mosaics from the 5th century in Galla Placidia's Mausoleum

Basilica - Saint Apollinare Nuovo - is also from the 5th/6th Century. I particularly liked this mosaic of the Three Kings

These cyclists with feathered hats caught our eye.
