22nd June 16 - Regensberg

At last the river levels subsided enough for us to set sail. But only after all the superstructure had been removed. Even then we only squeezed under the bridge with 3 inches to spare.

Then we salied up the Danube through several locks and were dropped off for a short trip to the World  Heritage City of Regensberg.

They removed all of the superstructure - like the railings around the sundeck - so that we could eventually pass under the bridge.
They even had to remove the Ship's Bell!
