Garden 18th Jan 18
Seems like a very long time since I updated the Garden Today website. But there are now the very first signs that Spring is on the way.

Snowdrops are always the first
The camellia is really out too early as the any frost will turn it brown. Indeed you can see some frost damage already.
Two different hellebores - or Christmas Roses as they are sometimes called
All the bulbs are bursting through. Here the first hyacinth is just out.
The mahonia is also out
and the pierus will not be far behind. Beautiful bunches of white flowers before the leaves turn red. A long display of colour from one bush
Two different witch hazels. I am not a great fan as they last so fleetingly. But they are a welcome splash of colour in January.
