24th Apr 13 - Markets, Nan Lian Gardens and Silver Wedding Dinner

Meant to be a quiet day but went to explore the various Flower, Bird and Goldfish markets before a visit to the Nan Lian Gardens and Chi Lin Nunnery. Then for a Silver Wedding Dinner.

Flower Market
Bird Market. These live insects were for sale as bird food.
Goldfish Market. Wasn't quite sure if the baby frogs were 'pets' or food...
The Nan Lian Gardens. Really wonderful
This long list of 'Don't..' was at the entrance. The one above made me giggle!
The gardens are only 10 years old based on designs from Tang Dynasty.
The Chi Lin Nunnery
In the Nunnery gardens...
...with the lovely lotus ponds
In the evening Elizabeth and I went to the Lung King Heen restaurant at the Four Seasons to celebrate our Silver Wedding. It is a 3 star Michelin Chinese. View as the sun went down and the lights in Kowloon went on, was amazing. As was the food.

Of course, the best bit was the company of my 'old' wiffy! Also 'amazing'!!
