26th Dec 10 - Punta Arenas, Chile and the Paine National Park

After docking in Punta Arenas, Chile, we went on a small Twin Otter airplane to the Paine National Park.

On the little Twin Otter. I was almost seated in the cockpit and got great views of the mountains as we came into land.

These are the 'torres' or towers which give the mountains their name.
Lupins everywhere - they grow as wild flowers

Salto Grande Waterfall. The wind here was terrifyingly strong - our guide said gusts of 115mph. Literally blew you off your feet!
