15th Sept 10
Lovely sunny morning so took my camera with me on my morning perambulation. Maybe the last 'Garden Today' before the flowers are 'retired' for another year?
Typical pictures of the many herbaceous borders. Rudbeckias and sedums in their prime.
Dahlias also in their prime
Unfortunately, it's good weather for moles too...
...and toadstools too! I think this one is the Amanita muscaria/ Fly Agaric. The 'classic' toadstool that appears in every child's storybook.
The grass has (mostly) recovered. Here is the side lawn overlooked by Elizabeth's office. I am think of charging her for the view.
The patio pots are now OTT - indeed past their best. But haven't the heart to rip them out...yet.
