Aboard the Mariner

Euan wanted some photos to show what it is like on board.

This is our suite and Granddad sitting on our balcony reading the newspaper
This is the pool deck with three Jacuzzis .
You can play lots of different games. Do you know which ones from the pictures above?
You can play the slot machines (we don't!
Read a book from the library (we do)
Or watch a show in the theatre
Or you can eat! There are four restaurants. At the top is the main restaurant where we have our dinner. Signatures in a Cordon Bleu French restaurant and Sevens is a Steak and Lobster restaurant. Then there is La Verandah which serves a buffet. But there are always places where someone will cook you some pasta (above), a pizza or an egg for breakfast. In between there is tea time and, if you are still hungry, there is 24hr room service. All 'free'.
The ship even has glass fronted elevators!
The Captain (his name is Stan) is in charge of driving the ship. He spends his time on the bridge which you can see in the picture below.
When you get on board you have to do a lifeboat drill. You put on your life jacket and practice getting into the lifeboats.
If someone falls overboard, you should throw them a lifebuoy. Even if they can't catch it, the lifebuoy will mark their location so the captain can turn the boat around and return to pick them up.
