15th May 10 - Garden
Been a very cold week for May with frosts most days. Fortunately nothing damaged. Daffodils and tulips now over but rhododendrons and azaleas now out. Garden still looking very good!
I just love the colours in the herbaceous borders at the moment.
View over the front lawns and beds to the pond
The bank with acers, rhododendrons and azaleas. Looking great! You may remember that we only planted this in autumn 2008.
Perhaps my most 'popular' picture.
I like this one! The yellow honeysuckle azalea smells wonderful in the evenings.
View over the belverdere
Front bed with the polyanthus still in bloom
The 'shepherds crock' unfurls on the fern.
Elaine came to visit earlier in the week
In our own bluebell wood
We replanted the bog garden. I'll show you how it looks as it develops!
