9th Nov 08 - Easedale

After yesterday's walk was rained off, we were determined to get a walk on our last day. It was very black, windy and cold when we started out from Grasmere to climb up to Easedale Tarn. But we were lucky. Apart from a few heavy sleet showers, we didn't get too wet. Of course, all this extra water made the waterfalls 'thunderous'. So much water that the stepping stones we needed to use to cross the outflow from Easedale Tarn, were submerged. So we retraced our steps.

Great 5-mile walk even so!
